I Can Smell Your Fear!

Sorry about the title folks, but in the wild if you happen to stumble upon a lion, there is more chance of you getting mauled by running away in fear, than standing completely still and hoping like heck that the lion gets bored and moves away.

You might ask what this has to do with your internet marketing business and the simple answer is, ” your fear of failure or your fear of the unknown will absolutely kill your dreams of success“.

I do not want to make this all about doom and gloom. I am simply bringing my point of view to the table to share what I hope will never happen to you and that is being PARALYZED BY FEAR which in turn leads to doubt and eventual inactivity to follow your dream of succeeding online.

Over the weekend, I was trying to get a bit of Twitter software to work and after several attempts basically gave up when the software would not work. You see, I have this fear of anything technical and this exact fear is what made me give up. Do not fall into this trap of “giving up” in your business life.

Here are a 7 easy, yet powerful ways to protect yourself against FEAR:

• Take Action. Afterall, Fortune favors the brave.

• Research your business idea to the most finite detail. The marketplace has a good way of telling you what will or will not work. Look in books, the internet.

• Follow the blueprint of success. What I mean by this is, research and learn what industry experts or gurus are doing. You will make a lot less mistakes by having a mentor to show you the way.

• Share your ideas with friends or family that you can trust to keep your idea safe and also give you their honest opinion about your idea.

• Divide your tasks and conquer. This is essential when you have a huge idea that needs several things to be done before your idea can be implemented in it’s physical form. Remember, be S.M.A.R.T(specific,measurable,realistic and time based)

• Do what needs doing right now. Stay focused on each step of your idea creation and do not think that they all have to be done at the same time. Do step one right before moving onto step two of your plan etc etc .

• The big IF. If your plan does not work first time around, learn from it and make it better this time. Don’t give up!

I hope this will help you get focused on the real dream of online business success. Afterall the acronym F.E.A.R really only stands for – False, Evidence, Appearing, Real.
